Workshop
Cheater’s Poetry Workshop
Saturday, August 2 from 10 AM to 12 PM
Why pluck words out of thin air when you can CHEAT at poetry? In this fun workshop, test out forms of poetry that steal words from already-existing media. We will use techniques such as erasure, exquisite corpse, and other exploratory (and collaborative!) methods.
Make a Zine!
Saturday, August 2 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Get your ideas onto the page and finally MAKE THAT ZINE! Zines are small books, usually made out of a single sheet of paper, that anyone can make. Create a fanzine (a zine about your favorite movie, cats, or recipes); poetry zine, or collage your way outside the box in this two-hour workshop.
