Sara Wilkes
Sara Wilkes is a Bothell-based calligrapher and artist, who turns the words she loves into colorful, encouraging art through digital and traditional mediums. She has been studying calligraphy since 2017, and has been running her art business, Bright Lexicon, since 2021.
Her art has been featured in The Crow Show at Tsuga, Rainbow on the Eastside Pride Art Show and Redmond Lights. Sara is passionate about keeping calligraphy alive—she teaches classes and volunteers on the board of The Society for Calligraphy and Handwriting, Seattle’s local calligraphy guild.

Learn the magical technique of iris folding! Named after the iris of a camera lens, this papercraft involves lots of folding, cutting, arranging, and taping which all lead to a spectacular result. You’ll have the chance to make a few different cards in the two hour session.
